Company History
Started as an electronics and software design consulting firm originally
located on Rock Street in Rockford, Illinois USA. William Curtis, the founder,
directs the company and its network of associate designers and contractors.Consulting
on a wide range of products for a variety of small and large companies, Curtis
Technology has designed digital computer graphics hardware, machine control
systems, video chips, touch screen systems, video arcade games, custom industrial
control software and hardware.
Formally incorporated under the name Curtis Technology & Trade, Inc.
in the State of Illinois to design, manufacture, and market its own line of
audio products.
AES Show in New York City. Introduced the AL-2 Stereo Tube Condenser
Microphone System.
Relocated the company to its present facility at 129 South Phelps Ave
in Rockford, Illinois USA. 1997 Frankfurt Music Messe Show. Belgium based
M2M company introduces Curtis Technology in Europe.
Curtis develops digital circuits and software for a British mixing board
company. Both companies will use the designs in future products.
AES Show in San Francisco. Introduced the Opre8 8 Channel mic preaamp.
Curtis Technology wins and completes a contract to design electronics
to be used in the cockpit of the United States Air Force One.
AES Show in Munich. Opened the Web Site and established central European
branch office through the M2M alliance to market the product line directly
to European customers.
