Following the success of the Munich AES, Curtis Technology will be attending the Audio Engineers Society in New York on September 24th in booth number one.

Curtis Technology introduces the Opre8 microphone pre-amp!

Curtis Technology introduces the Opre8 microphone Preamplifier at the 1998 San Francisco AES Show. The Opre8 is packaged in a black 19" rack-mount case. Each of the eight channels features a multicolor 10 segment LED VU meter as well as backlit buttons for 20 dB pad, phantom, and phase.

The Opre8 power supply is based on a torroidal supply for ultra low noise, and the topology includes a distributed dual voltage regulation to minimize crosstalk between channels. Each channel has a separate digital control circuit to control ultra high quality relays within the main analog path.

The design is based on a straight-line-with-gain approach employing premium operational amps and switching elements.

Each channel has a balanced input and output with XLR receptacles. The Opre8 is a complimentary follow-up product to be used with the Curtis Technology AL-2 Stereo microphone Systems as well as other mics.
