The Opre8 Eight Channel Preamplifier

The Opre8 is packaged in a black 19" rack-mount case. On its face, each of the eight channels feature a calibrated multicolor 10 segment LED VU meter as well as backlit buttons for 20 dB pad, phantom and phase. Internally, the Opre8 power supply is based on a torroidal supply resulting in ultra low noise. In addition, the internal topology includes a distributed dual voltage regulation to minimize crosstalk between channels. Each channel features a separate digital control circuit which controls top grade relays within the main analog path. The design is based on a straight-line-with-gain approach employing premium operational amps and encapsulated switching elements.

Each channel has transformer balanced input and electronically balanced outputs for driving long cable distances with minimal signal degradation. All inputs and outputs feature gold plated XLR sockets.
